For decades TheCall movement, along with other streams, has been praying for a spiritual revival that would not only impact the Church but would spill out into every sector of society with the gospel and demonstrations of the Kingdom. We’ve now come to a time where the Body of Christ must put feet to these prayers. The Apostle Paul says in Romans 10:14-15, “How then can they call on the One they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach? And how can they preach unless they are sent?” Today’s Briefing by Lou Engle explains a series of prophetic events that have led to what could be a flashpoint moment to catalyze one of the greatest evangelistic thrusts the world has ever seen.

THE BRIEFING 025 - THE SEND

God again set a certain day, calling it "Today..."
"Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts." Hebrews 4:7

There are moments in time, there are seasons of transition, that - if we seize them - will shape the rest of our lives! There was a “today” for a whole generation of Israelites who came to the Jordan and needed to cross over, face giants and enter the Promised Land. Suddenly, it was their “today.” When they missed their moment it cost them another 40 years in the wilderness until a new generation was prepared to cross over into the promises. Today, I feel for both myself and for America, that we have come to such a moment.

Eighteen years ago we launched TheCall. It’s been, I believe, a John the Baptist kind of movement. Early on I had a dream of a scroll that rolled down before me and on it was written Luke 1:17: “And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the rebellious to the wisdom of the righteous.” The Lord spoke to me, “There’s something coming to America that is stronger than the rebellion.” I’ve understood that the scroll of TheCall has been, and continues to be, that of a John the Baptist kind of ministry to prepare the way for Jesus to come on the scene. But a few years ago I said to the Lord, “Has TheCall failed? It hasn’t broken the rebellion. America is in worse shape, maybe, than it’s ever been.”And I heard the Spirit say, “If it truly has been a John the Baptist type movement, then you can bet there’s a Jesus Movement coming!”

Well, in 2012, after years of solemn assemblies and stadium gatherings of fasting and prayer, something took place: a group of YWAM-ers came into my living room and said, “There’s coming a shift to TheCall and stadiums are going to be filled - not just with fasting and prayer - but with the proclamation of the gospel and signs and wonders, and Billy Graham’s mantle is coming on the nation.” That prophecy almost seven years ago became a dominating prophecy creating expectancy for a coming shift, in a sense, from the call to the send. We’ve been believing that when Billy Graham died something major would take place.

Six years ago, we went to Orlando and I began to prophesy that at the Citrus Bowl there’s coming a massive sending movement and a Jesus Movement would break out. We began to pray for 80 million souls in America to be saved and for 200,000 missionaries to be sent. This became like a blazing constellation that we’ve lived under, believing that America would turn back to God. Yet, we knew this could only happen with a great awakening. I’ve dared to believe that God has not fastened my own personal storyline to a dead-end vision.

Earlier this year I was seeking God in the isolated area of South Point, Hawaii. On February 12th, I was reading 2 Kings 2 where Elisha was actually receiving the mantle of Elijah. Elisha basically says, “I will not leave you Elijah until I get your spirit upon me.” As I read those words, the Holy Spirit gripped me and I wrote in big letters in my bible, “BILLY GRAHAM I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU UNTIL I GET A DOUBLE PORTION OF YOUR SPIRIT ON THE NEXT GENERATION!” I felt as if God was bringing me into a divine prophetic moment and that Billy Graham was about ready to pass. I sensed that the Body of Christ was heading to a Jordan-crossing and it would loose a double-portion Elisha movement of signs and wonders as sons and daughters would rise en masse to carry the mantle of Billy Graham.

Then, on February 16th, I was flying from Hawaii while reading that passage where Elisha says, “Bring me a new bowl.” It was like a command shot right into my spirit with the Lord saying, “BRING ME A NEW BOWL!” He went on to say: “Whereas before you have seen stadiums filled with fasting and prayer, you are going to see bowls filled with the manifestation of the scroll of Jesus: ‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted.’” Just a few days later, on February 21st, Billy Graham went home to glory and I knew it was “Game on!”

With all of this burning in my heart, I went to meet with a handful of great, young, evangelistic leaders: Andy Byrd of YWAM, Daniel Kolenda of Christ For All Nations, Michael Koulianos of Jesus Image, Todd White of Lifestyle Christianity, and Bryan Brennt of Circuit Riders. Together, with the undergirding of TheCall, we have committed to launch The Send in Orlando, Florida at the Citrus Bowl (now named Camping World Stadium) on February 23, 2019, just two days after the anniversary of Billy Graham’s passing.

Gratefully, Andy Byrd has taken up the leadership of this collaborative effort and Teo Hayashi of the Dunamis Movement, Brazil, has also joined our core team. In all, many movements will be partnering together with us and seasoned leaders from across the Body of Christ have agreed to come and pass their torch! I am convinced that we are in a double-portion sons and daughters moment, a generational transfer that could, in one day - a “today” - shift America into the Third Great Awakening! I feel I’ve been living my whole life for this moment.

Recently, I was communicating with my dear friend Shawn Bolz who is walking in one of the highest prophetic anointings of the word of knowledge that I have ever seen. Shawn reminded me in an email of a word he gave me many years ago. He wrote: “It’s interesting because back when TheCall started, ...we prayed together (and) I prophesied to you that you would start with TheCall but end up releasing a generation to go.” Shawn also recalled a conversation that he and Bob Jones had years ago about the mantle of Billy Graham being passed to entire movements. They discussed how this would be the beginning of a worldwide revival! In light of this, Shawn wrote: “This has to be that.”

So, with great expectation, we are calling for tens of thousands of willing vessels to gather from the nation and from around the world to Orlando for such a time as this. Come to receive an impartation. Come to get the mantle of Billy Graham. Come prepared to gather for 12 hours and avail yourself to Jesus the Evangelist who is rising within His people to open up a new day of a Great Awakening. Bring your friends. Bring your whole movements. Let’s dare to believe that on February 23rd, 2019 a shift will take place and the mantle of Billy Graham will break forth and change history in a new generation.
