123 - War In Israel
Letter From the Editor:
Just months ago, God gripped over a 100 million intercessors in prayer for the peace of Jerusalem. Surely it is for such a time as this that He has set so many watchmen on the walls of prayer for His people. We’ve now witnessed the most atrocious display of wickedness as hell has broken loose within Israel’s borders. It’s time to pray with tears and with accuracy. Today’s Briefing draws from past and present dreams to lay out clear prayer objectives for our urgent intercession. Also, we urge you to join us and other networks of prayer in a united 21-Day Daniel Fast starting immediately. Life and death hang in the balance for so many. L’Chaim Israel!

WAR IN ISRAEL
The harrowing reports from Israel reveal that over 1200 innocent people have been brutally murdered, thousands injured, scores are held captive in Gaza, and now hundreds of young soldiers have been killed in battle. While Israel buries her dead, Muslims in Judea and Samari celebrate the slaughter and march in the streets. Hezbollah forces in Lebanon have joined in the assault, and Khalid Mashal, leader of Hamas, is calling for global jihad this Friday, October 13th. Israel is at war with those who seek her destruction. We must be at war with the spiritual forces fueling the men and the mindsets behind such evil.
Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people! Jeremiah 9:1
During the raging battles of World War II, a missionary named Rees Howells was leading a Bible College back in Britain. His students and staff would gather together two to four times each day for corporate prayer throughout the extent of the war. Howells told his students: “Don't allow those young men at the Front to do more than you do here.” He understood the sober reality that the success of those in the trenches and cockpits was largely dependent on the success of those on their knees in prayer.
Two years ago at the end of our 40-Day Yeshua Fast, we received a dream (see The Briefing 096 - A Holy Conflict) in which Lou Engle and Mike Bickle were seen reading a newspaper called the Israel Times. It was understood in the dream that Lou was to proclaim this message:
“We are in a holy war and our fight is not against flesh and blood but against a global pandemic. It’s the spirit of Haman the Agagite fueling Hamas."
In the Old Testament book of Esther, we are introduced to Haman as a descendant of Agag the Amalekite. Moses had prophesied about his family line, saying, “Because hands were lifted up against the throne of the Lord, the Lord will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation.” Exodus 17:16
In this passage about “lifted hands”, Moses is referring to the initial battle that took place in Rephidim when the Amalekites viciously attacked the Israelites who had just escaped from Egypt. The scriptures describe how Amalek ambushed “the slow and weak” of the Jewish people who were lagging behind as Israel neared an oasis in need of water (Deut 25). In response, Moses directed Joshua to take some men and fight the Amalekites. But as the men were fighting, Moses went up to the top of a hill with Aaron and Hur to lift up his rod in prayer throughout the battle.
And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. (Ex 17:11-13).
Amalek and his forces had lifted their hands in violence against God’s people in an unprovoked act of war. But Moses lifted his hands in intercession to the throne of God. The dream instructs us to do the same, knowing that we are up against a spirit and an ideology that is infecting the minds of people on a global scale.
The “global pandemic” that was addressed in the dream, is not referencing the coronavirus. We are convinced it speaks to the ideologies of antisemitism and anti-Zionism. These antichrist sentiments are deadly, and yet they are broadly accepted in this generation. Even after the atrocities of the past week, there are pro-Pallestinian rallies being held in various cities throughout the nations. Crowds are seen shouting “Viva Gaza!” This should not be!
Years ago the Lord spoke to Lou Engle, saying, “No one is targeting false ideologies with massive fasting and prayer.” This was integral to Lou’s launching of TheCall ministry of stadium gatherings of prayer and fasting as well as his annual efforts in mobilizing united 40-day fasts in the nations. Over the past two decades, the ekklesia has been rising to the challenge, as it must right now.
As of today, October 12th, we are calling for a 21-Day Daniel Fast for Israel through Nov 2nd. One year from today we are calling for a million Esthers to gather at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Today we need a million Esthers on the walls of Jerusalem. The date 10/12 has also been significant in our prophetic history as it connects with the passage in Daniel 10:12, when a heavenly messenger was sent to Daniel in direct answer to his fasting and prayer.
“Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Dan 10:12-13
This passage also addresses the Prince of Persia, the demonic principality which has held dominance over the region of modern day Iran. This demonic entity is, of course, a major power in the current conflict in the Middle East. One of our leaders had a significant dream this week showing the spiritual dynamics of what is taking place in the natural realm.
In the dream, there was a massive Persian rug that was shaped like the State of Israel. It was hovering close to the ground. We were surrounding this rug as intercessors in an effort to keep it from covering all of Israel and to restrain animal-type creatures from getting onto the rug. On the Persian rug were many clocks and time-pieces. If these animalistic beings could reach them it would cause the clocks to go faster and speed up the times. Also, the rug would rise up and extend itself further onto the landmass of Israel. Suddenly, a lightning strike hit one of the animals and one of the clocks simultaneously. A voice told us, “That’s a STRKR! It’s one of us!” As we wondered what that meant, the voice continued, “They are Strikers. They are Saints Taking Relentless Kingdom Rule.”
We understand this dream is depicting the influence of Iran and the ancient Prince of Persia in the current assault against Israel. For decades Iran has threatened the annihilation of Israel as it seeks to exert its dominance as a regional power in the Middle East. In doing so, Iran has backed the proxy armies of Hamas and Hezbollah. The animal-type beings in the dream likely represent the demonic powers at work through these militants from Gaza and Hezbollah. Clearly, the clocks and timepieces have to do with the enemy seeking to change times and seasons.
He will speak against the Most High and oppress His holy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time. Daniel 7:25
In The Briefing 095 - The Fig Tree Has Blossomed, the Lord revealed to us that He has appointed a time of favor for Israel and the Jewish people worldwide according to Psalm 102:12-17. This is still on! God has also ordained that the Gentile church would flourish in the same season (see The Briefing #095 for further details). In both Israel and the nations a great harvest field has been ripening. However, the enemy seeks to hinder the harvest by speeding up the timeline of history and pre-empting Armageddon before it is due. We must stand, therefore, and rule with Christ from the heavenly places, like Moses with his rod of authority.
You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come; For her stones are dear to your servants; her very dust moves them to pity. The nations will fear the name of the Lord. All the kings of the earth will revere your glory. For the Lord will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory. He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea. Ps 102:13-17
The need to exercise our authority in the spiritual realm was also shown to us in a concurring dream during our 40-Day Passover Fast of 2022. In this dream our prayer community was spread out on different courts outside. There was a tennis court, a basketball court, and a volleyball court. Meanwhile, a large commercial airplane needed to land on one of the courts. We could see EL on the side of the plane and thought it was EL AL, Israel’s National Airline. At that point, some of our leaders were escorting people onto the plane. Everyone was dressed in Air Force pilot fatigues. A voice was then heard in the dream, saying, “Either the ekklesia will govern, or they will be governed.” At that point, we saw that it wasn’t EL AL on the plane, it was actually DANIEL. Interestingly, the name Daniel literally means “God is my judge” in Hebrew.
One of the crucial ways we are to govern with God in this hour is to steward the blood of Jesus that was poured out on a hill in Jerusalem. This is the glory of the Great Communion Blood Revival. As we take Communion daily, or even multiple times each day, we can plead the blood of Jesus over every sin committed by, and against, our Jewish brothers and sisters. We must pray in the same manner for Palestinians. As we apply the blood that takes away the sins of the world, it removes legal ground - even from within people groups - and can thereby dislodge the demonic powers that have functioned therein. Let’s remember the Apostle Paul was once Saul, who was killing and imprisoning the saints before he was struck off his horse by a flash of light.
Also, as we partake of Christ’s body and blood, let us enforce the judgement of God against the spirit of Haman that is at work through Hamas. Let’s also proclaim Yeshua’s victory over the Prince of Persia and every demonic principality that is empowering Hezbollah and Iran’s murderous regime. This is how we defeat the great dragon. This is how the Accuser of the Brethren is cast down.
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Rev 12:11
Lastly, let us exalt the cross of Christ over the precious slain ones. The enemy boasts of the death and destruction that he is bringing to many. But Yeshua went on ahead of us as the firstborn from among the dead. On earth we grieve with those who grieve and we share in the most bitter sorrow over the loss of Israel’s loved ones. But before these powers of hell, we are the ones who should boast in Christ the Redeemer who has swallowed up death in victory.
He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. Col 2:15
Though Christ’s work was completed at the cross, it is for us to enforce His reign in our generation. The Apostle Paul explained to the Ephesians: “His purpose was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms.” Eph 3:10
Therefore, please pray and fast with us daily as we join with our family at Tikkun Global in Israel, with ICEJ (International Christian Embassy Jerusalem), and with many other ministries across the earth, linking arms in intercession for the peace of Jerusalem.
