134 - Urgent Prayer
Letter from the Editor
Please don’t delay in reading today’s briefing, as it addresses an urgent need for prayer. America is undergoing a major transfer of power, and the repercussions are being felt across the earth. These are pivotal moments in history - times often marked by heightened spiritual warfare. We urge you to join us in immediate and fervent prayer to stay the hand of the enemy and secure God’s merciful plans for America and Israel.

URGENT PRAYER
Today, at 3 p.m. on January 19, 2025, President-elect Donald Trump is holding a “Make America Great Again Victory Rally” at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The arena, which seats 20,000, is home to the NBA’s Washington Wizards and the NHL’s Washington Capitals. President Trump is also planning to return to the arena after his inauguration ceremony in the Capitol Rotunda on Monday. We are calling for urgent intercession today, and in the days ahead, in light of various prophetic warnings about potential terrorist activity and assassination attempts.
On Friday, Lance Wallnau posted the following on:
Oh boy! Flying into D.C. and just read the following text… A decision was made today to move the inauguration indoors to a hockey arena. “Today on our prayer Zoom, a 7-year-old boy in Guatemala shared a dream he had last week: President Trump was shot on live TV in a hockey arena.” A month ago, another prophet said, ‘Trump will be attacked in a hockey arena.’”
Without having confirmed the sources of these dreams, we believe that Lance's report, among others, are enough to alert us to pray. Prophetic warnings like this are not meant to provoke fear but to mobilize intercession so God’s people can prevent negative outcomes. We know that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective, able to thwart the enemy’s schemes and bring forth the Lord’s will.
Therefore, let us stand together in agreement for God’s protection and His redemptive purposes for President Trump and for America in his second term. Through our prayers, we can enforce a hedge of protection and cut off wickedness from the land.
“May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. May He send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion.” – Psalm 20:1-2
“Every morning I will put to silence all the wicked in the land; I will cut off every evildoer from the city of the Lord.” – Psalm 101:8
Psalm 20 reflects the people’s prayer for King David before he went into battle. Psalm 101 captures David’s prayer as he sought to rule righteously before the Lord on behalf of the people. Let us take both positions and stand in our kingly authority in Christ Jesus as we intercede for our leaders, our nation, and the nation of Israel.
This weekend, we also anticipate the long-awaited release of some of Israel’s hostages. While we thank God and celebrate their imminent freedom, we also shudder at the cost of this deal. In exchange for the lives of 33 innocent men, women, and children, Israel is being forced to set free hundreds of convicted Arab terrorists, many of whom will return to the streets of Judea and Samaria.
Let us bind in prayer the very evil that the enemy seeks to release into the earth during this time of transition. Meanwhile, may we loose the angelic realm and the power of the Holy Spirit to move mightily in these circumstances and nations.
