Those who have followed the past several Briefings are aware that we have not had prophetic certainty regarding Justice Kavanaugh. Part of our dilemma was the clarity we have received regarding Amy Barrett. Yet, after weeks of wrestling, we believe that she may be God’s choice for Justice Ginsburg’s seat and Brett Kavanaugh may well be God’s choice for Justice Kennedy’s seat. Back in 2005, when we questioned Harriet Mier’s nomination, we fasted and prayed and on the third day of our Esther fast she withdrew her nomination. Over recent weeks, we have fasted and diligently sought God’s will over Kavanaugh’s nomination. The fact that he is still standing - in spite of a firestorm of allegations - may be our answer. Yet, as a prophetic resource, we have been hesitant to speak anything that we have not specifically heard from the Father. Meanwhile, we are thankful for those who have been led to pray for Justice Kavanaugh directly and we are thankful to those who, up until this point, have been seeking the Lord due to reservations over his appointment. We believe that all of our prayers together have been a heart cry for mercy and reformation in America. Now, in these final hours leading up to the Senate vote, we hope this Briefing will strengthen your faith and sharpen your focus as we stand together in prayer on behalf of the Supreme Court.

The Briefing 031 - THE SENATE VOTE

 “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people -- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Within the next 48 hours, the U.S. Senate is expected to vote for or against Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court. Despite the widespread uproar of debate and supposition surrounding the matter, only 100 legislators (and the Vice President, if needed) have been endued with authority to render this decision. Yet, all of us who are in Christ have been given seats of authority in the heavenly realms - the hill above Capitol Hill - from which we are to rule and reign with Him in this hour. Let us not be negligent.

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Eph 6:12

1) PRAY FOR OUR SENATORS AND FOR VICE PRESIDENT PENCE

Recently, while at Gettysburg, prophetic leader Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj received a visitation from the Lord in which he was given the following exhortation for the American Church:

“You must pray for your lawmakers so that angels can be stationed beside each one. The angels of God can influence them with wisdom from heaven... President Trump was put in office to clean and purify the nation of even the justices… He is bringing conservative ones - even to right all the wrongs done in this nation, the political crimes. It’s important that the whole Christian community should pray very much for President Trump and pray for the legislators so that the right people are voted into office…”

2) PRAY IN THE SPIRIT

We understand that as the Spirit prays through us, angels are moving at His voice.

In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. Romans 8:26

Bless the LORD, you His angels, Mighty in strength, who perform His word, Obeying the voice of His word! Psalm 103:20

A few months ago, one of our team was overseas praying intently in the Spirit for several hours at a time. Meanwhile, a friend back in the States sent word that he had just dreamed of him praying in the Spirit. His friend saw in the dream that he was surrounded by a pit of vipers, but in response to his prayers, a mountain was raised up in their midst. The mountain was called Mt. Carmel! Then, as he continued to roar in tongues, the darkness began to part.

3) HAVING DONE ALL, STAND!

Lou Engle instructed our company, saying, “Sometimes it’s not so much about praying just the right prayers as it is about our stand.” It’s time to set our faces and finish what God has been accomplishing to turn the nation back to righteousness. Let’s exalt the victory of the cross of Christ and refuse, by faith, to allow any demonic scheme to potentially hinder the confirmation of a righteous judge.

Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Ephesians 6:13

And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  Matthew 16:18
