Dear Friends,
I am so grateful for all of you who have stood with us in our prophetic prayer assignments fueled by the divine intelligence delivered through The Briefing. Your faithful agreement in prayer means more to me than you know.
Since 2017, Cheryl and Paul Amabile have faithfully stewarded the vision of The Briefing. I can truly say, like the Apostle Paul, that I have no one like-minded like them who will diligently write and release the timely and important messages God delivers to our small prophetic band of friends. Thankfully, they have enabled you to remain a vital extension of our ekklesia.
I’m greatly jealous over the Amabiles’ well-being, first because of our friendship and also because of their inestimable value to me in the ministry. So now, as we are about to travel together to Kansas City to launch another global 40-day fast, I want to urge you to be not only their partners in prayer, but also their partners in financial support. Their efforts are costly, and even more so when our assignments take them away from home and other financial opportunities. I would so appreciate your help in giving generously to the need at hand.
Thank you for letting me make this appeal. Now I must draw your attention to one of the most critical intercessory moments in our nation’s history concerning the Equality Act.

Dangers of the Equality Act

The bill’s government label is H.R.5. It’s misnomer is the “Equality Act.” If passed by the Senate and signed into law, this bill would politicize the treatment of gender dysphoria and institutionalize “transgender medicine” for years to come. Already, a judge in Ohio revoked one couple’s custody of their teenage daughter because they didn’t want her to receive testosterone injections at the recommendations of a gender clinic and county agency.(1)As federal legislation, H.R.5 would mandate nationwide compliance to sexual orientation while criminalizing objections of conscience at both personal and professional levels.
According to Mat Staver of Liberty Council, this radical piece of legislation is “the most extreme threat to religious freedom, free speech, privacy and women's rights ever proposed by Congress.”(2) In addition, Janet Porter, author of the Heartbeat Bill, explains that the term “related medical conditions,” hidden in the language of H.R.5, would undo every abortion restriction that has been passed in states across the country.(3)
Truly we are living in days when evil is considered good and good, as defined by God in scripture, is considered evil. It is critical, therefore, that we are not left unaware of Satan’s schemes. At the end of this briefing, we’ve listed several links to excellent resources explaining the implications of this pending legislation. Please read and share with family and friends the disturbing and diabolical realities that are encroaching upon us.
Meanwhile, adding to the weightiness of the moment, Chris Berglund had a very sobering dream this week that we must bring to your attention:
In the dream we were inside a building in the middle of the country. Outside there was a dark cloud coming from the east and forming over our nation. We knew intuitively that we had only a short window of time, perhaps a year or two, in which to turn the body of Christ and the nation back to God. Our assignment was to prevail against this storm, at least for a season. It was also evident that we needed to do this for the sake of the children in the nations. God's invitation to us was to see the fruition of a great awakening and revival. Yet, the outcome seemed very much up to us as the ekklesia. In the dream it was being said, “The currency of heaven is hunger and thirst mixed with faith based in intimacy." It was understood that this is what it would take to prevail against the coming storm. Towards the end of the dream, we stood outside, unified with another group of believers, and preparing to release proclamations and declarations into the atmosphere. To one direction the skies were blue. In the other direction the skies were black and swirling with evil.
Dreams such as this beckon us to search them out intently before the Lord. Over time, this dream may prove to have multiple layers of application. But for now, we can’t help but associate the ominous cloud rising out of the east with the treacherous executive orders and pending legislation coming out of Washington, D.C., along with the dark ideologies that are fueling them.
As the dream emphasizes, we cannot afford to hunker down and hope for this storm to blow over. We must pray and act. The scriptures are clear that God has entrusted great authority to His people on earth to influence the realm in which we live.
“...On this rock I will build My church (“ekklesia” in Greek), and the gates of Sheol will not withstand it. “To you I shall give the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven; everything that you will bind in the earth will have been bound in Heaven, and anything that you will release in the earth will have been released in Heaven.” Matt 16:18-19
Ten years ago, when President Obama was in office, Chris Berglund had another very disturbing but instructive dream about our responsibility as the ekklesia...
In the dream, Jesus was presiding over the courtroom of heaven while multiple accusations were being brought to the Judge. Both the president of our nation and the Body of Christ were on trial. One after another the Judge would bring a charge against the president, saying, for example, "You are charged with having set up and strengthened idols over this land." The president then hung his head and acknowledged, “Guilty.” Next, the Judge said, “You are charged with the shedding of innocent blood by..." Once again, the president answered, “Guilty.”
After addressing the president, the Judge would also turn to the Body of Christ and bring charges before them. He said, "You are charged with not praying for the president when he was setting up false religions and idolatry in America." Then, "You are charged with not praying for your leaders when they were making decisions on behalf of the unborn." To each of these charges the Body of Christ, who was represented by one man in the dream, also acknowledged, “Guilty.” It was revealed in the dream that the Church was ultimately guilty of “not knowing our authority, and not living in the fullness of the cross”.
It is our hope that the Body of Christ is not in the same place we were ten years ago when we received this dream. May we heed the lessons of the past, press into the heart of God, and rise up together in our God-given authority against the present onslaught of darkness.
1) Pray for our senators, both Democrat and Republican, according to 1 Timothy 2:1-2. Pray for wisdom, revelation and the fear of the Lord.
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 1 Tim 2:1-2
2) Pray forth the awakening and revival that God has ordained for this time. Make faith-filled proclamations over the nation in keeping with the revealed will of God. (See The Promised Revival and Command Awakening for additional insights and inspiration.)
3) Pray for those who identify as LGBTQ+. Claim and proclaim Luke 4:18 unto a mass wave of salvation, healing and true freedom for God’s beloved sons and daughters.
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed;” Luke 4:18
